Misión Región (Mission Region)

This book is the materialization of the Community of Madrid’s mission to document the Madrid landscape for posterity and to create a visual database that now forms part of the Regional Archive of the Community of Madrid.
To this end, some of Spain’s leading photographers were commissioned to cover 199 areas across the region, comprising 178 municipalities and 21 districts of the city of Madrid, documenting their geographical, aesthetic, social, cultural and urban characteristics from a contemporary perspective.
